Event Details
There will be an AYROC night activity on Saturday 13th December 2025 at 4.30pm at Bellisle Park, Ayr.
This is an opportunity to try out dark orienteering where orienteers use a headtorch in addition to the usual equipment to navigate around Belleisle including the Golf course. There will be a Short and a Long course. AYROC has a number of Headtorches available which can be borrowed.
Belleisle park is a small wooded area which is around the now derelict Belleisle House with many paths and butting onto the Golf Course, which will obviously not be in use in the dark.
Parking will be in the Golf Course Car Park, which can be found from the A77 Alloway turn off, by following Doonholm Road going straight at the small roundabout, Murdoch's Loan, pass the Burns Birthplace Museum and turn right at the T junction. At the next mini roundabout turn left down Greenfield Avenue, golf course on the right. At the T junction turn right and after approximately 500 metres turn right into Belleisle Park and Golf Course.
