AYROC Orienteering activity at Town Moor, Irvine on Saturday 24th January 2026 at 11.00am. This will be a 45min Score course and Score with a Twist in which you need to gather all the Evens then all the Odds.

Event Details
The next AYROC activity will be held at the Town Moor, Irvine on Saturday 24th January 2026 at 11.00am. This will be a 45min Score course in which you have a set time to collect as many controls as you can. There will be a penalty for a late return.
For those who want to make it more difficult for themselves there will be a Twist in which you need to gather all the Evens then all the Odds.
The park is a very old horse racing track and is mostly open and runnable with patches of dense gorse. The area is very popular for a large assortment of leisure activities, please give way to other users.
Assembly/registration/download/first aid will be in a car on the entrance road to Irvine Royal Academy. The Academy is on the A737 Kilwinning Road.
At the North East corner of the Academy is a traffic light equipped box junction with the B779 Sandy Road, turn in here. Park somewhere along Sandy Road, please leave big gaps between cars to let other traffic pass. If the school is shut there is a big bus layby by the gates which can be used for parking. We will meet near the North West corner of the school grounds.

The map was resurveyed in 2022 and is at a scale of 1:5000 with 2.5 meter contours.
The nearest known public toilets are in the Rivergate shopping centre.

The cost for this activity is £2 per person or £5 per family.
