AYROC orienteering event on Saturday 3rd September at the Beach Park, Irvine, meeting in the South Car Park at 11.00am. There will be a Yellow, Orange and a short Green course, plus the option of a map memory exercise.

Event Details
The first AYROC orienteering event this autumn is on Saturday 3rd September at the Beach Park, Irvine, meeting in the South Car Park at 11.00am.
There will be a Yellow, Orange and a short Green course, plus the option of a map memory exercise.
The map encompasses the park ground south of the old Magnum Leisure Centre with interesting contour features, sand dunes and many paths. The area was formerly part of the Nobel munitions site and still has remains of this in the form of concrete features on the ground.
There are toilets at the car park at the Harbour.
From the A78 Irvine by pass road take the A71, at the roundabout rake the A737 Ayr Road and follow this to Gailes roundabout where you take the 3rd exit, Marine Drive, follow this round for approximately 2 miles to Car Park on left.

Registration will be in a car in the Car Park. Starts will be close by. First Aid will be at Registration. If you have a medical condition, please carry details of this on your person which can be found by a First Aider if necessary. The nearest Hospital is at Crosshouse, directions available in the First Aid Kit. Dogs are allowed if kept on leads, there will be many other dog walkers in the area.
