Event Details

Our next AYROC orienteering event will be held on the Isle of Arran when we will combine the Orienteering with an after-eventa barbecue on Saturday 8th July 2023, starting at 12.00.

The event will be held at the Whiting Bay Community Land Initiative on the Isle of Arran which was used last year for the Coast and Island week of orienteering and mapped by Chris Smithard. It is quite a small area but with rough ground, however the views across to the Holy Isle are quite spectacular.

Parking at Assembly is very restricted, so please leave any vehicles in the village and walk up hill via Silverburn Road, opposite the building supplies shop. The road becomes a footpath near the top and intersects Golf Course Road. Go south past the golf club building to find the entrance of the Community Land Initiative

We hope to have a barbecue after the orienteering so if you would like to join us please bring your own food and drink. Barbecues will be provided.
