Saturday 17th August sees an activity at Greenan along with the club's annual barbecue. All welcome.

The map of Greenan, is a mixture of coastal terrain; dunes and rough ground, plus an urban section.

Leg cover is required particularly on the coastal area because of blackthorn and briar.

There will be Yellow, Orange and Light Green courses.

£2 per individual and £5 per family, strictly cash on day and exact change only. Pre entry only by filling in the form below.

Travel to Greenan from the north and south via A77. Take the Alloway/Doonfoot junction signposted to Burns Birthplace Museum. After passing this on the left, turn left at the T junction over the bridge (River Doon) and take the first right Longhill Avenue for a kilometre to the small roundabout, straight over this on to Earls Way, straight ahead at next small roundabout, first left on to Greenan Road, first right to Greenan Car Park. Number 9 and 361 Buses can be taken from Ayr. See Traveline Scotland.

There are no public toilets but the Nichols house, which is close by can be made available.

Registration will be in the Car Park. This will also be the location for the download and First Aid. Spare clothes and car keys can be left at registration.

This is a busy area for walkers particularly with dogs. Also, cyclists frequent the area so give way to all non-competitors.

These are urban courses on public roads. Be aware of motor vehicles.

The nearest Accident and Emergency hospital is Ayr University Hospital KA6 6DX.

Weather permitting, we will have our annual barbecue after the activity. Please bring your own food drink and disposable barbecues.
