There will be a Yellow course, a Short 2.5km (Light Green) course, a Long 4.0km (Light Green).

For those interested in improving their Orienteering skills, there will be instruction available 30mins before the start. Please specify on the form if you wish to take part in this.

The cost of this activity is £2 per person and £5 per family.

The closing date for entry, in order to print sufficient maps, is Thursday 18th January2024 at 10.30pm.

Dalry Public Park is a small community facility which has playing fields, a a playpark, river, a bowling green, many paths and a small area of woodland. The technical difficulty is light green The map scale is 1:4000.

Directions - From the A78, take the Irvine Road to Kilwinning, turn right at the T junction, then first right on to the Dalry Road, A737. At the roundabout take the first exit to Dalry, follow the road round and turn left to the B780, North Street, Dalry Public Park is about 500ms on the right.

Registration will be in a car with a sign in the Car Par.

There is a cafe in Dalry, The Penny Farthing. There are no toilets available on site but the local Lidl has a customer toilet.

 

Orienteers take part at their own risk. A risk assessment will have been carried out however the following should be noted. Care should be taken underfoot as there are uneven paths and there could be mud in places. Dalry Public Park is popular so there will be many other users and consideration should be given to them, including dog walkers. First Aid will be available from one of AYROC's members who has First Aid training.
