The 23rd Ayrshire School Orienteering Championships took part at Auchincruive on Wednesday the 01st June .The day was a great success with just under 230 pupils taking part. Mapping success was the cry of the day with some very fast times over very challenging and interesting courses. The pupils seemed to have all enjoyed the day out and the challenges that orienteering presented.
On a organising and planning point of view,   a little disappointment with  only 9 primary Schools and 4 secondary schools throughout Ayrshire taking part.
On behalf of Ayrshire Orienteering Club we are indebted to Greg Davidson the estate manager of the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) for the use of the facilities and   allowing the championships to take place in the beautiful and safe setting of Auchincruive.                                                                                                                                Also a big thank you to Chris Carlyle Chairman of South Ayrshire Sports Council, for  financial support towards the medals and who  kindly agreed to come along and present the prizes and see what Orienteering was all about.

Across the board Gargieston Primary School takes all the Team classes in the P4/5, 6/7 Boys & girls.
