2006 Ayrshire Schools Report

The 2006 Ayrshire Schools Championship took place on Friday 16th June at Dean Castle Country Park. Planned by Dougie Condy and organised by Theresa Perry, the event attracted record numbers from the seconday schools while maintaining the usual high numbers from the Primary schools. Guests of honour were Katherine Melville who initiated this event sixteen years ago and Douglas Porteous from East Ayrshire Council.

The event was run using manual punches but utilised SI for results. This formula was very successful and enabled the prizegiving to take place well ahead of schedule.
